Thuphora 16-Week Empowerment Curriculum
The Thuphora 16-Week Empowerment Curriculum is a structured cognitive and behavioral development program created by Lakey the Great Mind to help participants transform street survival skills into leadership, purpose, and personal success.
Built from the principles of the Thuphora book, the curriculum combines lived experience, psychology, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and practical life application to address the underlying causes of violence, incarceration, and self-destructive decision-making.
Over sixteen weeks, participants explore topics including self-awareness, identity, discipline, emotional regulation, decision-making, conflict resolution, accountability, communication, leadership, and long-term goal setting. Each lesson encourages participants to examine their own life experiences, challenge destructive thinking patterns, and develop strategies for creating sustainable change.
Designed for use in violence prevention initiatives, reentry programs, schools, community organizations, and correctional settings, the curriculum combines facilitator-led discussions, interactive exercises, real-world case studies, personal reflection, and measurable assessments to document participant growth.
The program also incorporates weekly psychological support, attendance tracking, pre- and post-program assessments, and facilitator guidance to ensure accountability and measurable outcomes.
